Academically, I am an accomplished individual. I have a bachelor's degree in construction economics and management. I am a Bachelor of Science Honors candidate in Quantity Surveying at the University of Cape Town. In addition, I hold a National Senior Certificate with distinctions in Physical Sciences and am an alumnus of the Talent Development Program at the University of Stellenbosch in Mpumalanga.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
 

2022

​

Mace Group:

I spent a total of 240 hours as a graduate intern with the company. I was responsible for document controls and received training on the Autodesk BIM360 system used by the organisation for document and information management. In addition, I took minutes on a number of their meetings for 3 of their distinct projects, namely a Project for the construction of a Data Centre for African Data Centers, a Project for the construction of a Laboratory for Roche, and the V&A East Quay project, for which I assisted with writing the Construction logistics plan, which included the traffic management plan, Asbestos Management Plan.

SelfieBox ®(Pty) Ltd:

I was assigned the position of Executive Administrative Assistant for the Cape Town branch, where I was responsible for recruiting personnel and other individuals to advance the business's interests. In addition, I worked on a variety of corporate events, including those for Uber Eats, Amstel, and Sunpac, as well as formal occasions such as weddings. Working at Selfie Box has allowed me to network and expand my connections as an emerging construction professional.

Chief Executive Officer for Pier Pressure Cost Consulting:

The professional practice course in the Quantity Surveying honors program at the University of Cape Town requires QS students to develop cost consulting and Quantity Surveying firms, manage two distinct types of construction projects, and provide cost consulting services for each of these projects. Classmates nominated me for the post of chief executive officer at my company, which requires group leadership. Developing a fictitious portfolio for the company, complete with the company's logo and website, and conducting interviews to select members for my cost consultancy team. In addition, I was responsible for meeting deadlines and coordinating meetings with Architecture honors students and structural engineering students.

Zidlaphi Kgomo & Associates:

Continued to work as an intern on a construction site for the Witbank Tswane University of Technology campus's planned accommodation. I worked on land surveying, measuring, and dealing with interim payments even after I had finished 180 hours of practical training. This time, I had the chance to hire and manage a group of bricklayers and laborers to successfully complete a portion of the project's brickwork.

2021


Good Fellas Construction:

Completed 130 hours worth of practical training on the site, which was in Tasbet Park, Witbank, Mpumalanga. It was a small scaled project whereby I was trained to mix mortar and brick laying.

Worked as an intern on a construction site for a proposed res for the Witbank Tswane University of Technology campus. Completed 207 hours worth of practical training Practiced land surveying, measuring, and dealing with interim payments.

Shirdo Holdings:

Worked as an intern on a construction site for a proposed primary    school in Middleburg, Mpumalanga. Practiced Land surveying, brick laying, window fitting and measuring on this site for 120 hours worth of construction hours

                                   
Community Build (UCT):

Performed community service by offering to work on a construction site hosted by CSV in Delft, Cape Town of proposed RDP houses. Practiced levelling and further bricklaying for 40 hours worth of construction hours
