Practical Training is a University of Cape Town-mandated course. This practical training consists of a minimum of 480 hours in the undergraduate construction program and 160 hours in the honours program, as well as approved work experience in any of the following built environment disciplines: construction, engineering, housing, property development and management, quantity surveying, relevant local government, and provincial and national government departments.
